Teresa McRae is the talented author of the Historical Fiction novel called Mamie Garrison. It is a tale of slavery, abolition, romance and history, set in the years just prior to the Civil War. She is inspired by many authors in the historical fiction genre. She is also a lover of Russian literature, particularly Tolstoy and Doestoyefsky. Teresa finds great inspiration for creating characters by looking at the ones these two authors have created. She has written for most of her life in one form or another. She has dabbled in poetry and songwriting, and has more started novels than finished ones. In her free time, she likes reading, history, crossword puzzles and travel. She is interested in genealogy and working on her family tree. She lives in the Midwest United States with her husband, Chris and her dog, Max.
