Two unlikely characters find themselves living in a house in Ballsbridge, Dublin in 1954. Francesco Romano, a forgotten Italian artist and Johanna Cahill, a woman on the move who leaves after her a trail of bodies. A portrait unites the two, unravelling their harrowing pasts.
