Amazing read shows the fundamental in football for individuals who isn't as footie crazy but it also encourages other children that may have underline health issue but it doesn't stop the baller boys in continuing to playing football. I highly recommend this book
ReplyDeleteMy grandson is a reluctant reader but loved this book by Venessa Taylor. He loved the relatable characters and the fact that Franky was just like him because he wore glasses. My grandson loves to kick a ball about in the park so the subject matter was right up his street. I liked the fact that the moral of the story was to be kind but also acknowledged other feelings such as jealousy and sadness.The book is also set out in chapters that move the story on at a good pace and keep the reader entertained. Personally, I loved the diverse characters and how they all get along together no matter where they are from. I would recommend this book for any child, boy or girl, that is aged 7+. Thank you Ms Taylor you've got my grandson reading. I never thought I'd see the day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic book! My football crazy nephew couldn’t get enough of this book. The author truly delivered an engaging, exciting, insightful and funny book. Absolutely perfect for young boys and girls to encourage their love of reading, as each chapter grips more than the last. The author transports you into the diverse lives of this young football team, the ups and downs, and the highs and lows. While teaching important life lessons along the way. A truly inclusive book!
