The Witness Must Die by Alex R Carver

The Witness Must Die

by

Alex R Carver

Sofia Torres is the only witness when her employer and his entire household are massacred by a rival drug lord.

The Spanish police are relieved to have a witness, but they soon discover that keeping her alive to testify won't be an easy job, especially when the man responsible for the massacre is prepared to kill as many people as it takes to keep her quiet.

Even with the help of Interpol, keeping Sofia Torres safe is difficult and costly, and with the eyes of the world on Barcelona as it becomes like Chicago in the 1920s they must rely on help from an unexpected source.

 Such Unfortunates

Andrew Mann

Each year, more Americans die of drug abuse than the total of those who perished during the Vietnam War. This is the true story of an addict who was able to overcome his addiction against all odds.

Andrew's life began in an upper-class town of Moorestown, New Jersey. His family had a million-dollar beach house, he attended college and even had the rare opportunity of driving a Ferrari around South Florida.

His life seemed normal on the outside, but the internal turmoil he was experiencing was a horrific ordeal.

Behind what seemed like an idyllic life was a nightmare of abuse, mental illness, and torment that no child should ever face. This led Andrew to suffer from pain, anxiety, panic attacks, and depression.

Searching for relief, he found solace in drugs and became quickly addicted to anything that would change the way he felt. His addiction to drugs took him to such extremes as working for the DEA while being high on drugs, multiple rehabs, jails, becoming homeless, and even to the point of being considered dead.

When all hope was lost, people he considers "angels" entered his life.

One person, in particular, refused to give up on him even when everyone told her this was the best option. Through her determination, he was able to find the strength to look inside and find the real reasons for his addiction.

Once he understood these reasons, he was finally able to figure out how to stay clean and successfully turned his life around.

This book will give hope to anyone who is suffering from addiction or knows someone who is facing the adversity of addiction. It will show them why they should never give up and how working together, we can beat this opiate epidemic.

The Rise is a gleaming residential tower, newly constructed from steel and blackened glass, that stands on some of London’s most prestigious real estate. Or perhaps it’s the building’s reclusive developer who lives alone in the penthouse?

Obstructed continually by locked doors, governments both foreign and domestic, and an apparent absence of motive, can DS Gish solve this impenetrable mystery and apprehend the murderer—before they slip away forever?

 Graft:

Your Guide For How To Find Success, Make Money And Smash Life

By

Tom Skinner

GET OUT THERE, GIVE IT 110% AND ABSOLUTELY SMASH IT!

Tom Skinner is a grafter. Born and bred in Romford, he’s spent a lifetime on market stalls and has always had an eye for opportunity. He’s sold everything from laughing monkeys to luxury mattresses! Like a magician, Tom can make something out of nothing, although he’s seen it all disappear just as quickly, too.

Graft is a window into the world of a professional wheeler-dealer who knows exactly what it takes to stay afloat and keep your chin up when the going gets tough.

Inside, Tom shares his story and the hilarious escapades he’s found himself involved in while trying to make a quick buck. He also reveals how you, too, can make your own luck using the simple mantras he abides by and how to bounce back off the ropes when it feels like you’re down and out.

From fuelling yourself with a big breakfast (preferably down Dino’s Cafe) to the importance of making mistakes, Tom offers an entertaining, motivational read for anyone who wants to do bigger and better things … or just wants a good laugh.

This is how to smash life the Skinner way. BOSH!

Loosely Based On A Made-Up Story: A Non-Memoir by James Blunt

Loosely Based On A Made-Up Story:

A Non-Memoir

by James Blunt

This book is inspired by true events but is not a biography.

The truth is My Truth is not The Truth, and that's as honest as I can be. It's partially true, rather than painfully true, and I have possibly been economical with the truth, Your Honour.

Basically, I made this sh*t up . . .

While James Blunt's crimes against music are well-documented, he also has some stories that are not. In Loosely Based On A Made-Up Story, James reveals his most riotous anecdotes to date for your amusement - and his parents' horror - in this highly anticipated non-memoir.

From his questionable Norfolk roots, eccentric family, boarding school antics, misjudged military service, rise to music stardom and tour escapades, James delves into his (surprisingly) fascinating life to date. What do you do when your mother writes irate emails to the future prime minister defending your honour? What does it take to run a male escort agency? And why exactly should you refrain from crowd-surfing? Find out here, folks . . .

Were the stories in this book grossly exaggerated in an attempt to impress? Maybe. But one thing is for certain: you won't want to miss it.

Promises by Eileen Joyce Donovan

 Promises

by

Eileen Joyce Donovan

They were promised a great adventure. That was one word for it.

As Liverpool was being constantly bombed by Nazi war planes, 13-year old Lizzie and her 9-year brother, Colin, were beginning their “great adventure” to Canada for their safety. They had to leave their mum, and everyone they knew behind for the promises of the Canadian Rockies and cowboys and indians, something Colin was especially excited for.

The crossing was quite the adventure as they passed through U-boat infested waters and storms with dangerously high waves. Upon their arrival in Halifax, they quickly learned that had been the easy part, and how easily promises could be broken.

The Corisco Conspiracy by Raphael Sóne

 The Corisco Conspiracy

by

Raphael Sóne

The Corisco Conspiracy is the story of the Gunpowder Plot (the "conspiracy" of the title) as related, in crystal-clear prose, by William Shakespeare. It has long been suspected that the Shakespeares of Stratford-upon-Avon were crypto-Catholics. In this tell-all memoir, William, the first son of John and Mary Shakespeare, not only authenticates that suspicion, but also reveals significant events that happened in the Catholic underground of Elizabethan and Jacobean England. The most noteworthy of those events is the first meeting of the conspirators of the Gunpowder Plot. It took place in Corisco, an island in present-day Equatorial Guinea which figures prominently in Shakespeare's narrative.

That was in November 1585 - twenty years before the plotters' historic gunfight with security officers in Staffordshire.Corisco was not Shakespeare's only link to Africa. Some of his fellow "Jesuit messengers" were Afro-Europeans. He himself wrote only one of the plays for which he is famous. The rest were supplied to his acting troupe by a different spy: a Portuguese-African princess, who was instructed to write in them encoded messages for Roman Catholic theatre-goers. The Bard married twice. His second wife, the hitherto unidentified Dark Lady of the Sonnets, was a Muslim from the Kingdom of Malabo. So, he embraced Mohammedanism. His confidants, a London couple of Malian descent, were also Islamic members of the Church of Rome. Many more Catholic rebels were implicated in the Gunpowder Plot than have thus far been listed in history books.

Shakespeare does justice to them all in his account.
