Gone By Morning by Michele Weinstat Miller

 Gone By Morning

by

Michele Weinstat Miller

New York City in June is no joke--and as a wave of violence engulfs the sweltering city, an even greater danger looms in this riveting thriller for fans of Iris Johansen and Tess Gerritsen.

As the heat rises on a New York summer, a suicide bomb set off in a Times Square subway station nearly claims the life of 68-year-old ex-madam Kathleen. Then a woman is brutally murdered, her body dumped on a marshy beach in Queens. The woman, Sharon, was last seen by 26-year-old Emily--a Deputy Press Officer working at City Hall--getting into a car in front of the building where she and Kathleen both live in far upper Manhattan.

Emily requests an autopsy report from the Chief of the NYPD, but she doesn't realize the gravity of using her position to gain information. Things turn deadly when a bomb is planted in her building, gutting it with a raging fireball. Kathleen, Emily, and Emily's two-year-old daughter, Skye, barely escape with their lives.

Could Kathleen's criminal history be at the heart of the violence? If Emily can't help her, Kathleen could spend the rest of her life in prison. And when Emily discovers a shocking connection between herself and Kathleen, the stakes become impossibly high.

By the time Emily realizes she's in grave danger, it may be too late. She's beyond the reach of the cops, of City Hall, of her family...and a killer is closing in fast.

by

Dave Blackwell

April 2015, Ryan takes a month out of work to travel to the states, a journey of self-discovery, mental health struggles and issues related to his profound deafness and how he deals with the reactions from strangers.

From the moment he arrives at Heathrow Airport, the situations he finds himself in, are based on true stories with a comedy and blunt outcome as he refuses to let anything get to him.

Starting in San Francisco, he makes his way to Whitefish in Montana, stopping at national parks in Yosemite, Death Valley, Zion, the Grand Canyon and Glacier to clear his mind and heal himself, his goal is to spend as much time alone as possible only to meet various people down the line that would open his mind.

He finds himself thinking more about where he is in life and where he wants to be, flashbacks and memories plague his mind as fights to decide on what actions to take when his trip ends in Las Vegas, and if he will return home.

Make Me Clean by Tina Baker

Make Me Clean

by Tina Baker

She will leave your surfaces sparkling.
But she may well leave you dead...

Maria is a good woman and a good cleaner. She cleans for Elsie, the funny old bird who's losing her marbles, with the terrible husband. She cleans for Brian, the sweet man with the terrible boss. She cleans for the mysterious Mr Balogan, with the terrible neighbours.

If you're thinking of hiring her, you should probably know that Maria might have killed the terrible husband, the terrible boss and the terrible neighbours. She may also have murdered the man she loved.

She didn't set out to kill anyone, of course, but her clients have hired her to clean up their lives, and she takes her job seriously - not to mention how much happier they all are now. The trouble is, murder can't be washed out. You can only sweep it under the carpet, and pray no one looks too closely...
