The story of four generations of the Movi family, who all live in a crumbling Hollywood mansion, is chronicled by their stage acting dog and primary breadwinner Chumley P. Movi.
A reality TV show, based on their everyday existence, appears to be the perfect vehicle, to revive their glory days in the entertainment industry, but the family soon realize, you have to be careful what you wish for.
TV executive Harvey Spinks and his sidekick Flowers, expose every detail, of Chuck the banned stuntman and part-time stripper at the local retirement home, Minnie and Max, the once Vaudeville stage legends, Dallas the wannabe reality star, Rufus the stage thespian and ‘Pete’s Printing’ sole employee, Teddy the ex-TV cop and carpet salesman, Lenny the carpenter and Murray Shamowski, the cross-dressing talent agent.
Chumley’s own past life, comes sniffing back to find him, like a bloodhound on a prison break. All Chumley wants to do, is sleep and eat Minnie’s meatloaf but someone has to earn a living and tell their story.
Life as a Movi - Where reality ends and reality TV begins.
