Extinction

Two friends fall into a cavern whilst hiking at Yosemite National Park, Harry is badly injured leaving Eric to go and find help, navigating through the tunnels deep into the cavern.
After passing out, Harry wakes to find a large tarantula climbing up his leg, just as he is about to throw a rock, a little girls voice breaks the silence, stopping him. She seems to know so much about Harry, his fiancé and his friend Eric. Angered by his ignorance whilst trying to help him, a blanket of darkness approaches him, a mass of spiders, hissing, scratching and menacing.
Harry is woken by Eric at in the Cavern, screaming and howling in terror. Eric explains he had passed out after landing and he had only just woken him, uninjured, they leave the cavern. Harry cannot get the image of the girl out of his head, the anger in her eyes and the spiders that enveloped him.
Something has awoken deep within the cavern, something that has been hidden from civilisation for so long.
Something that believes the time of mankind is over and wants to reclaim nature.
